Acupuncture needles are incredibly thin—about the width of a single strand of human hair—they do not pierce the skin the way a thick medical syringe does.
When the needles are gently inserted, you might feel a tiny, fleeting pinch, followed by sensations like: mild or heavy dull ache, gentle tingling or warmth, brief sensations of pressure or traveling energy.

We design a plan, not a guess.
The number of acupuncture sessions you need depends entirely on your specific health goals, how long you have had the condition, and your body's unique response to treatment.
Generally, acute Issues (recent injuries, sudden pain, cough or cold) may only require 4 to 6 sessions, with noticeable relief after the first 1–2 visits. While chronic Issues (conditions you've had for months or years) take time to untangle. Expect an initial plan of 10 to 12 sessions, with re-evaluations along the way to measure progress. -
Acupuncture is generally considered a safe practice when performed by a licensed professional. It relaxes muscles and people should not exercise immediately after.
Common side effects include: minor bruising or bleeding at the area of insertion, slight tenderness or muscle pinch at the needle insertion sites, mild lightheadedness, fatigue/heavy relaxation, and emotional releases. -
Herbs are powerful on their own, but they work even better in combination with acupuncture.
To maximize your results, your acupuncture treatment includes a personalized herbal recommendation. Please note that the cost of herbs is invoiced separately and is not included in the standard consultation fee. Herbal formulas typically range from $50 to $75 per week.

No, herbs can not replace your pharmaceutical medications, peptides, or hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
While Chinese herbal medicine is incredibly powerful adjunctive therapy for supporting the body's natural regulatory systems, pharmaceuticals and bio-identical therapies perform entirely different biochemical functions.

No, dry needling and acupuncture are not the same thing. While both techniques use thin, one-time-use, stainless-steel needles, they are based on completely different clinical goals, training models, and philosophies.
Acupuncture is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and requires licensed practitioners to complete over 3,000 hours of training. It focuses on balancing the entire body's nervous system, organs, and internal energy flow (Qi). In contrast, dry needling is a localized, Western medical approach. It specifically targets muscular trigger points to relieve isolated tension and spasms, rather than treating the body as an interconnected system.
